Mongolian Barbecue originated in the Yuan Dynasty of Genghis Khan. After long days of riding and fighting, valiant soldiers would feast on a mix of vegetables and meats that had been tenderizing under their saddles. The collected items of the day were then cooked on the under side of the warrior’s shields.

This unusual method of cooking gradually evolved into what we at DW’s know as the “Original Mongolian BBQ”.
